Published in Nature Medicine and recognized globally, IBD-SMART promises to revolutionize gastrointestinal health. With a sensitivity of 88% and specificity of 89%, this tool significantly reduces the need for invasive procedures. The research team’s development of multiplex ddPCR technology facilitates rapid, effective IBD diagnosis. This innovation has received national and international accolades, including a Silver medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2024.
Set to be clinically available by 2027, this tool represents a significant leap forward in patient care and diagnostic accuracy, addressing the global challenge of GI symptoms.
